From Trade Show Selection to a Large-Volume UK Retail Order

During the second day of the Autumn 2015 Canton Fair, a buying team from a major UK fast-fashion retail group visited the LINK BRAND booth to review products for its retail program.

The team shortlisted approximately one-third of the displayed samples and completed product photography, quotation review, note-taking and selection directly at the booth.

After the exhibition, LINK BRAND coordinated the follow-up samples and international delivery. Two weeks later, the buyer sent a contract representing nearly six HQ containers of products.

A Focused Buying Team at the Canton Fair

The project began when members of the UK retail buying team entered the LINK BRAND booth on the second day of the Canton Fair.

The buyers worked through the displayed products in a structured and efficient way. Approximately one-third of the samples were shortlisted and placed together for further review.

The team photographed products, checked quotations, recorded product information and completed its initial selection directly at the booth.

“Nice” was one of the words most frequently used by the buyers when reviewing the product range.

Rapid Sample Follow-Up After the Exhibition

The end of the Canton Fair marked the beginning of an intensive sample follow-up period.

The buyer needed the selected product directions to move quickly from exhibition samples into clearer confirmation samples for commercial review.

LINK BRAND’s sample team coordinated the selected items, prepared the required follow-up samples and arranged international delivery to the buyer.

Even during the post-exhibition sample peak, the sample room continued processing the required items so that the project could move forward without losing momentum.

  1. Sample Organization. Match the selected booth products with the buyer’s records and quotation information.
  2. Follow-Up Sample Preparation. Prepare the required confirmation or revised samples according to the selected product directions.
  3. Internal Coordination. Connect the sales, sample and factory teams around the same buyer requirements.
  4. International Sample Delivery. Dispatch the completed samples for the buyer’s continued commercial review.

From Sample Review to a Large-Volume Contract

Approximately two weeks after the exhibition, the buyer sent LINK BRAND a contract covering nearly six HQ containers of products.

The order was not the result of product appearance alone. It depended on the connection between trade-show selection, clear product records, quotation follow-up, sample preparation and the ability of the wider team to support a larger commercial program.

The sales team, sample room and factory worked together to move the opportunity from initial booth selection into an executable bulk order.

A Trade Show Opportunity Converted Into a Retail Supply Project

The UK retail project progressed from an initial Canton Fair meeting into product selection, sample follow-up and a substantial commercial contract.

It demonstrates how responsive follow-up and cross-team coordination can help convert a short exhibition meeting into a structured retail supply program.

More Than Exhibition Leads — Turning Buyer Interest Into Execution

Trade-show interest only becomes commercially valuable when the selected products can be followed up accurately and quickly.

In this project, the buyer’s product choices were connected with quotation records, sample preparation and factory execution. This allowed the project to continue after the exhibition rather than ending with a collection of business cards and product photos.

For Linkbrand, the project demonstrated the importance of coordinating sales, sampling and production as one connected buyer-support process.

  • Buyer-Focused Product Selection. Support professional buying teams during concentrated product-review sessions.
  • Clear Product Records. Connect selected samples with quotations, photographs and buyer notes.
  • Responsive Sampling. Prepare confirmation and revised samples after the exhibition.
  • Cross-Team Coordination. Align sales, sample development and factory execution.
  • Commercial Scale Readiness. Move from individual samples into a larger retail supply program.
  • International Follow-Up. Support overseas buyers after the exhibition through sampling and commercial coordination.
