| LINK BRAND’s Role | Development Support and Production-to-Shipment Coordination |
The project involved extending a client-provided character into several retail product formats. Multiple SKUs and purchase orders required coordinated decisions on samples, materials, product structure, packaging and production schedules.
LINK BRAND helped connect these stages throughout the project.
The Challenge: Coordinating Multiple Formats Within One Character Range
1. Character Consistency Across Formats
The character needed to remain recognizable across plush toys, mini clips, PVC items and clothing sets. Each format required a different approach to materials, construction and presentation.
2. Product Appeal and Cost Balance
Material, size, structure and packaging choices needed to be reviewed against the client’s target retail positioning and cost requirements.
3. Connected Development and Delivery Stages
Sample revisions, approvals, production scheduling, packing and shipment preparation needed coordinated follow-up across multiple SKUs.
Developing a Coordinated Character Product Range
Using the client-provided character as the starting point, we supported development across several product formats. Sample reviews and revisions helped address the requirements of each format while maintaining a connected character identity.
- Mini Plush Clips. Compact plush formats developed as smaller additions to the character range.
- Larger Plush Toys. Larger plush versions that extended the assortment beyond compact accessories.
- PVC Character Items. PVC formats that introduced a different material and construction approach within the same range.
- Character Clothing Sets. Clothing sets that added further variety to the character assortment.
Reviewing Materials and Construction to Balance Appeal and Cost
Our support included reviewing material, size, structure and packaging options against the client’s retail positioning and cost requirements.
The project also included fabric and process enhancements intended to improve product appearance. These changes were reviewed alongside their cost implications to help the client make informed development decisions.
Review Areas:
1. Fabric texture and visual appearance
2. Product size and construction
3. Finishing details and process options
4. Packaging choices and cost implications
