Three Character & Plush Development Projects in China
LINK BRAND has supported different commercial plush projects in China, including a pineapple character plush tender, an original IP merchandise project prepared for a brand launch, and the development of a giant plush product with strong visual impact.
Although each project had a different commercial purpose, all three required the team to translate an idea, character or size requirement into a practical physical plush product.

Project Overview
| Project | Commercial Purpose | Key Capability |
|---|---|---|
| Pineapple Character Plush | Tender & customization | Character interpretation |
| Pai Train IP Plush | IP launch merchandise | Character commercialization |
| Giant Plush Toy | Large-format product | Structure and scale development |
Winning a Pineapple Character Plush Tender for Aofei Animation
LINK BRAND participated in a commercial tender for the customization of a pineapple character plush product for Aofei Animation.
The project required the team to review the visual character direction and prepare a plush product proposal that could retain the main identity of the pineapple character while remaining practical for fabric selection, sewing, embroidery, filling and production.
Following the buyer’s evaluation process, LINK BRAND won the tender and moved into confirmed project cooperation.
- From Character Image to Plush Structure. Converting a two-dimensional character into a physical plush toy requires decisions about body proportion, facial placement, color, fabric and production structure.
- Tender-Based Supplier Selection. The project was confirmed through a formal competitive tender rather than a simple product inquiry.
Turning the Pai Train IP Into Plush Merchandise for a Brand Launch
LINK BRAND supported the development of plush merchandise for the Pai Train original IP.
The project focused on translating the character direction into a physical product that could retain the main visual identity of the IP and be presented during the project’s launch event.
The plush products were therefore developed not only as production samples, but also as physical brand touchpoints for an actual commercial presentation environment.
- Preserving the IP Identity. Character proportions, colors, expressions and key visual elements needed to remain recognizable in the physical plush format.
- Preparing for Event Presentation. The completed plush merchandise needed to support how the IP was introduced and displayed during the launch.
Developing a Giant Plush Toy With Strong Visual Impact
LINK BRAND developed a giant plush product designed to create a stronger physical and visual presence than a standard-size plush toy.
The available project image shows two people holding the completed product, providing a clear visual reference for its oversized scale.
Developing a giant plush requires more than enlarging an existing pattern. The team must also consider body proportion, facial placement, seam structure, filling distribution, product weight and practical handling.
- Maintaining Proportion at a Larger Scale. Head, body, facial details and decorative features need to remain visually balanced after enlargement.
- Structure and Filling. Filling volume and distribution affect the final outline, shape stability and weight of the completed product.
- Handling and Packaging. Oversized products may require additional review of movement, compression, carton planning and transportation.
Different Plush Projects Require Different Development Decisions
These projects did not follow the same commercial path. One began through a tender, one focused on an original IP launch, and one centered on an oversized physical format.
Together, they demonstrate that plush development should be planned according to the character, commercial purpose, product scale and final application.
- Character Interpretation. Translate recognizable character features into three-dimensional plush structures.
- Commercial Tender Support. Respond to formal project requirements and buyer evaluation processes.
- Original IP Merchandise. Turn approved original characters into physical brand products.
- Event Presentation. Prepare products for launch, brand or commercial-display environments.
- Large-Format Development. Review proportion, filling and structure for giant plush products.
- Production Feasibility. Balance visual requirements with materials, sewing, construction and practical production.
